Our services include but are not limited to:
Teeth Cleanings
Teeth cleanings involve the removal of dental plaque and tartar from the surfaces of the teeth. This procedure is important to maintain proper oral hygiene and should be performed every six months to prevent cavities, gingivitis and periodontal disease.
Whitening
Teeth whitening is a procedure that uses bleaching agents to remove stains and discolorations, giving patients a whiter smile.
Fillings
A filling is a procedure where the dentist removes a portion of tooth that is damaged and replaces it with a material such as composite. Fillings are commonly used to treat small cavities or chipped teeth.
Crowns
Crowns are procedures performed for cavities that are too large for a filling. In this situation, the dentist will place a crown or “cap” over the tooth in order to restore the original shape, size and function. The office also performs partial coverage crowns such as inlays and onlays to preserve the majority of the tooth structure.
Root Canals
When decay spreads deep enough to penetrate the nerves, the person will experience a sharp pain known as a toothache. A root canal is a procedure that removes these infected nerves, cleans and seals the inside of the tooth. A crown is often necessary to strengthen and restore that tooth.
Tooth Extractions
An extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket and bone. There are various reasons for a tooth to be extracted. Examples include damage beyond restoration, instability from gum disease, impacted etc. The dentist will explain why a tooth must be pulled and determine plans for extraction.
Implants
Implants offer an aesthetically pleasing and highly functional prosthetic that is fixed in place. Patients who have one or multiple missing teeth may require an implant. The implant (or artificial root) is surgically placed into the jaw bone to hold a crown, bridge, denture or other prosthetic. After the implant is placed, our office will restore the implant with an abutment and crown.
Dentures/Partials
Dentures and partials are available for patients who have one or more missing teeth. Typically, a denture is a removable prosthetic that holds one or more artificial teeth. However, a denture can be fixed in place with the use of implants.
Bridges
Dental bridges are a form of prothesis that literally "bridge" the gap caused from a missing tooth. It is fixed in place using the existing teeth on either side of the gap. In the case of many missing teeth, an implant-supported bridge can be placed. Implant-supported bridges consist of bridges held in place by implants.
